Two recent visits to St Lawrence Church

We have been privileged to have recently performed on two occasions at the wonderful St. Lawrence Church in Towcester.

On Saturday, 28th October we had our annual Autumn concert. This year we had a them of ‘Music from Screen and Stage’. The appreciative audience were given a musical treat with extracts from ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, ‘Doctor Who’, ‘Disney’, ‘The Greatest Showman’ amongst others.

As always. there were also some fantastic Soloist on show. Mark (Bond) Limbert with ‘Live and Let Die’, Laura (Resulka) Winspear with her ‘Song to the Moon’, Helen (Dorothy) Smith with a very special performance of ‘Over the Rainbow’, Pete (Wonka) May with ‘Pure Imagination’ and finally Chris (Lee) Stevens with ‘Wanderin Star’.

Then on Sunday 12th November we returned to take part in the moving Remembrance Service. As well as providing the backing for a number of Hymns, we also performed Nimrod, Hymn to the Fallen, Amazing Grace and finished with the Royal British Legion March. Special thanks also goes to David Nicholson who played the Last Post and Reveille to mark the 2 minutes silence.
