As we all know by now, we have been invited to the Brass Band National Finals (Third Section) following our 3rd place at the Area contest held in March 2024.
The test piece is a wonderfully descriptive peice - The Shipbuilders, Peter Yorke.
Neil Brownless (our MD) has introduced us to the piece during some recent rehearsals (alongside our Summer engagements rehearsals).
To assist us in our preparations, Mike Fowles (Foden's) will be spending the day with us on Saturday 17th August, holding small group workshops and concluding with a full band session.
Having had previous sessions with Mike recently, the whole band are looking forward to this event which promises to be an enjoyable and very worthwhile event.

Preparing for the Brass Band National Finals has been an exciting yet intense journey.
