In March 2025 a few members of the main band had the idea of opening up the band hall on Friday mornings to have a fun relaxing reherarsal together. We invited anyone from the local brass and wind groups who play brass or percussion to come along and join us. We couldn't have imagined how successful it would become. We now have players from may local organisations coming together and making some fantastic music in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Over 40 players have come along from various bands (Towcester, Brackley, Olney, Secklow, Bedford Concert, Bradwell, Wolverton, Milton Keynes, Rushden, Raunds, Thrapston, Chinnor, various Salvation Army groups...).

Starting at 10:30am we play through a huge variety of music. We are fortunate to have some talented arrangers amongst the group who provide some fantastic arrangements for us. We also have fun playing 'Band Bingo', where a random piece is chosen from the vast library.

As well as having some very talented musicians, we are very grateful to our Maestro, Keith Underwood, who makes every session an enjoyable one for everyone.

Our Daytime band has performed at local care homes and also played at the Towcester Farmers Market.
