A Winning start for TSB in 2026

TSB Band could not have wished for a better opening to 2026. They have already competed in two contests this year and were awarded a First place in the ODBBA own choice contest and a very exciting Third place at the Midlands Regional Championship contest held at the Bedworth Civic Hall.

Under the baton of their ‘new’ Musical Director – Ian Knapton - they played the test piece “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” (Phillip Harper).

The hard work put in by all players and MD since the start of January was justly rewarded.

However, the accolades did not stop with the full band results – some individuals and sections were also winners:

ODBBA Contest :

Midlands Area Regional Championships :

-       Best Soloist (Section 2)           Matthew Atkinson (Cornet)

We now look forward to competing at the ‘ConsTest’ contest held in Birmingham (April 11^th) and to our Spring Concert at St. Lawrence Church, Towcester on April 25^th.
