The first few months of every year is a busy time for TSB preparing for the annual Midlands Region National Qualifying contest held during early March at Bedworth. TSB competes in Section 3 and a top three finish will qualify TSB for the finals at The Centaur, Cheltenham Racecourse in September. TSB practice Mondays and Wednesdays in pursuit of success at National level. The Band is competing is six contests this year. In April TSB returns to the concert stage and Saturday 16th April is our Spring Concert in St Lawrence Church, commencing at 7:30pm. Towcester Midsummer Music Festival is a summer highlight for the Band and this year we are delighted that we have been given the opportunity to entertain at The Mill Brewery, a perfect location for any Brass Band! In midsummer TSB is joining forces with Brackley Band on Saturday 25th June to support Armed Forces Day! The massed Bands are giving a concert in the wonderful Ugland Auditorium at Stowe School. A ticket only event, tickets will be on sale shortly so please keep an eye open for further notices. You can register in advance via email to towcesterstudioband@gmail.com stating your name and contact details. 16th July sees us return to Whittlebury Church for a concert and for the first time we are playing at The Blisworth Canal Festival on Saturday 13th August. Please do come along and support ‘your local Band’ and help us to continue to be a progressive community group in Towcester.
